Here's
this week's question
My
husband tells me there is a woman at his office
who has
lost 30 pounds in the past 2 months on a food
combining
diet! What do you think about this sort of diet
Coach David?
Great
question - I am totally and absolutely in favor
of
food combining. It is a proper nutritious, 'healthy
eating
program' as opposed to a diet in the conventional
sense of
the word.
I
am not surprised to hear of this ladies success.
I have a
personal client (Paul) who I am working with
right now who
has lost an amazing 47 pounds in the last 10
weeks simply
by following my 'food combining' program and
taking a regular
walk, it's that simple!
If
only people would eat good wholesome nutritious
foods in
the right combinations(as per food combining):
1) The would
never go hungry 2) They would achieve their
ideal weight
(the way nature intended) 3) The diet industry
would go out
of business because it wouldn't be needed!
Note:
Of course it makes sense to back up food combining
with a sensible exercise program too eg; regular
walking.
The
typical American and typical British diet is
acidic in
nature eg: Too high in acid-producing foods
like meat, game,
fish, sugar, alcohol, white flour, most dairy
products, tea,
coffee, soft drinks, processed and refined vegetable
oils.
Whilst it is too low in alkaline-producing foods
like fresh
vegetables, salad stuffs and fruit.
Food
combining places food into 3 groups: Proteins,
Neutral
Foods & Starches.
Here
is an example of the 3 food groups:
Proteins:
Red Meat, Poultry, Game, Fish, Cheese, Eggs,
Soya
Beans, Milk, Yogurt.
Neutral
Foods: Most Vegetables, Salad stuff, Beans &
Lentils,
Seeds, Nuts, Olive Oil.
Starches:
Rice, Potato, Pasta, Bread, Oats, Crackers,
Sugar,
Honey
How
Food Combining Works:
1) Do not eat Starches and Proteins at the same
meal (foods that fight).
2)
Fresh Vegetables, salad stuff and fruit should
form the major part of your dietary program
3)
You should only consume small quantities of
Starches, Proteins, and Fat
4)
Eat whole grains and avoid processed starches
eg white rice, white bread and white pasta
5)
Remove all processed food, packet and tin food
from your store cupboard. Eat fresh wholesome
(preferably organic) food instead without all
the chemicals and additives
6)
Leave at least four hours between starch and
protein meals.
I
highly recommend food combining, it is what
I teach my personal clients and it is the program
I use myself.
Look
out for my new book, which launches later this
month.
In it you will find full details of my walking
and dietary
program, the very program I use with my own
personal clients.

Have
a great week
