Comfort Food One Reason You Eat To Much and End Up Fat

One of the main reasons people eat more food than they need is because of STRESS.

That’s right, stress. If you’re having trouble at work, well, you’ll just go and eat a chocolate bar or grab a greasy burger or a carton of fries during your lunch break to FEEL BETTER & avoid the STRESS.

If you are having problems in say, a relationship, the same happens.

If your a girl can you say you have never gone over to a girl friends house after splitting up with or arguing with a guy.

Of course not!

What was the first thing you did when you got there .. let me guess you probably had a glass of wine followed by several more and almost certainly had a bar of chocolate and most likely shared a big tub of ice cream between you while you poured your heart out to your friend.

Sounds a bit of a cliche but I have asked dozens of women and the story is almost always identical give or take a few details.

Guys well we are bit different we don’t like to show our emotions so we tend to do one of two things we will either go out with our buddies pretending we don’t care and get tanked up on beer and greasy junkfood or we will sit at home watch a war movie , dial a pizza and fall asleep on the couch in a druken haze.

You see the story differs but the end result is the same we eat and drink to cheer oursleves up.

You’ll overeat like this to feel better & remove the stress from your life temporarily.

Trouble is not every stressful time will be a major crises some times we will feel a bit low maybe the boss has had a go at us for something or we even got stuck in traffic on our way home.

Guess what we turn to chocolate,potato chips,junk food,cookies and alcohol.

So before the next time you feel low I want you to promise me you will avoid those binges and just have a small chocolate bar a small bag of chips … you get the idea.

NOTE i did not say avoid these food much as though you and I both know if you did you would be much thinner it isn’t ever going to happen as unfortunately it’s just human nature to use food to cheer ourselves up.

In situations in life where you’ll encounter stress, the average overweight person will overeat to help remove the stress from his/her life but with a little preparation your next personal crises doesn’t have to undo all your hard work.
